Kamana Sewa Development Bank Limited has officially proposed a dividend payout for its shareholders from the accumulated profits of the fiscal year 2082/83 (2025/26).
Kamana Sewa Cash Dividend Proposed
The national-level development bank announced the decision following the conclusion of its recent executive board meeting.
The proposed payout highlights the operational profitability and capital management strategy of the financial institution over the review period.
Proposed Dividend Breakdown for Ordinary and Preference Shareholders
The bank has structured its dividend distribution to cater to both ordinary equity holders and preference shareholders.
Ordinary Shareholders
- Proposed Rate: 15% cash dividend.
- Tax Treatment: Includes applicable dividend tax payable under national tax regulations.
Preference Shareholders
- Proposed Rate: 9% prorated cash dividend.
- Calculation Basis: Calculated proportionally from the official date of allotment of the preference shares through the end of Ashad 2083 BS.
Regulatory Approvals and Endorsement Process
The proposed dividend distribution remains subject to formal regulatory procedures before the payout can be executed.
First, the proposal requires formal review and approval from Nepal Rastra Bank, the central monetary authority of Nepal.
Second, upon receiving central bank consent, the proposal must be presented for final endorsement by shareholders during the upcoming 20th Annual General Meeting of the development bank.
Comparison with Previous Fiscal Year Payout
During the preceding fiscal year, Kamana Sewa Development Bank Limited distributed a total dividend of 15.7895% to its equity holders.
That previous payout comprised a combination of both bonus shares (stock dividend) and cash dividend allocations.
The current proposal focuses entirely on cash distributions to reward shareholders directly from corporate earnings.

The formal dividend recommendation was finalized and approved during the 419th meeting of the Board of Directors of Kamana Sewa Development Bank Limited.
The meeting took place at 4:00 PM on Shrawan 22, 2083 BS, at the central head office of the development bank.
