Even in this modern era, women are feeling insecure to step out of their house because of increasing crimes in our country like harassment, abuse, violence etc., The corporate and IT sector are currently in the boom. Many women are working in corporate even in night shifts. There is a feeling of insecurity among working women. The proposed device is more like a safety system in case of an emergency. This device can be fitted in a jacket (similar to a blazer for women). It is easy to carry the device with more features and functions. The emergency push button is held to one of the buttons of the jacket. The main purpose of this device is to intimate the parents and police about the current location of the women. A GPS system is used to trace the current position of the victim and a GSM modem is used to send the message to the pre-defined numbers. This model is also useful for small children’s, elderly aged people also.
At present situation women all around the world are not safe at work, at school, or at any places so by this project women safety device, it will be very helpful for any women in danger to inform the person who she thinks might help her. This project might help to limit the crime happening to women. Thus this will help every woman to leave their home with no worries.
The main purpose of our project is to provide safety to the women’s from the danger zone. In this project, we are providing the facility to secure the women’s by providing this kit. This Project presents a women safety detection system using GPS and GSM modems. The system can be interconnected with the alarm system. This detection and messaging system is composed of a GPS receiver, Microcontroller, and a GSM Modem. GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites in the form of latitude and longitude.
The Microcontroller processes this information and this processed information is sent to the user using GSM modem A GSM modem is interfaced to the MCU. The GSM modem sends an SMS to the predefined mobile number. When a woman is in danger and in need of self-defense then she can press the switch which is allotted to her. By pressing the switch, the entire system will be activated then immediately an SMS will be sent to concern person with the location using GSM and GPS. This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. As the women feel insecure at that time she can press the button.GPS will calculate the latitude and longitude coordinates of that area. The controller read this value and send those data to the pre-defined number which is already saved in the program.
In today’s world, women, as well as child safety, has become a major issue as they can’t step out of their house at any given time due to physical/sexual abuse and fear of violence. Even in the 21st century where the technology is rapidly growing and new gadgets were developed but still women’s and girls are facing problems.
The main application of our project is to provide safety to the women’s from the danger zone. This device can be used by anyone for their safety while they are in work or any other public places.

This Efficient, Smart and Intelligent device really helps women in “Every single step of life”. Our effort behind this project is to design and fabricate a gadget which is so compact in itself that provides advantage of personal security system the emergency response system which is helpful for women or any other people in the incidents of crime. The proposed design will deal with critical issues faced by women in the near past and will help to solve them with technically sound equipment’s and ideas. This system can overcome the fear that scares every woman in the country about her safety and security. It is the device which can store the data of the members in the particular locality and provide the immediate alert in case of crime against women. This provides women security. Being safe and secure is the demand of the day.
