Kantipur City College to Host ‘KCC Exhibit-2024’ Featuring Innovations in Science and Technology

Kantipur City College, located in Putlisadak, Kathmandu, is set to host its 17th annual event, ‘KCC Exhibit-2024,’ on Friday and Saturday.

The exhibition will showcase a range of student projects and innovations in science, technology, and information technology, as well as long-term development samples and market management skills.

Principal Raju Kattel announced that the event will provide a platform for students to present their latest projects and engage with industry professionals, organizations, and academic experts. The exhibition’s theme, ‘Innovate, Exhibit, Inspire,’ reflects its focus on demonstrating creative solutions and inspiring future advancements.

Attendees can expect to see a variety of exhibits, including engineering projects like bridges, waste management systems, and transportation solutions such as the Gwarko flyover, Tinkune tunnel, and Baneshwar traffic management system. Additionally, projects related to IT and management will be featured, highlighting applications like AI, fire detection systems, visitor log systems, and more.

Deputy Coordinator Saroj Pandey revealed that the exhibition will feature over 30 stalls, including innovations in AI and technology applications. Noteworthy exhibits include a mood-based song playing system, vehicle number plate detection, and face recognition systems. The event is expected to attract over 12,000 visitors.

The exhibition will also include entertainment segments, with performances by singer Elina Chauhan, comedian Jitu Nepal, live music, and the final of the KCC Idol competition. Media Coordinator Rajeev Timalsina emphasized that the event aims to be both informative and entertaining, featuring a conference on ‘Innovation in Information Technology and Engineering to Enhance Efficiency and Sustainability.’

Since its inception in 2000, Kantipur City College has been a leading institution in Information Technology, Engineering, Management, and Mass Communication, and ‘KCC Exhibit-2024’ continues its tradition of showcasing cutting-edge student work and fostering industry connections.
