INSERT-NP and its training partner ‪#‎LABA‬, conducted first ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor training and certification from 23 Feb to 27 Feb. ISO 27001:2013 is an information security standard that was published on the 25th of September 2013.

It supersedes ISO/IEC 27001:2005, and is hosted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under the joint ISO and IEC subcommittee, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27. It is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS).

Organizations which meet the standard may gain an official certification issued by an independent and accredited certification body on successful completion of a formal audit process. During this training, the participants acquired the knowledge and skills needed to proficiently plan and perform internal and external audits in compliance with the certification process of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard.
