Machhapuchhre Bank and the Nepal Educational Consultancy Association (ECAN) Jhapa have announced a new partnership to offer subsidized education loans to students studying abroad.

The agreement, signed by ECAN Jhapa President Roshan Subedi and Assistant General Manager Bharat Kumar Lamsal of Machhapuchhre Bank, aims to simplify the loan process for students recommended by ECAN-affiliated consultants.

Under this arrangement, students can access a range of banking services, including educational loans and fee payments, through all branch offices of Machhapuchhre Bank. The bank will facilitate Swift payments for various fees and provide a streamlined process for loan applications.

Machhapuchhre Bank, known for its extensive network, serves over 1.5 million customers through 165 branch offices, 12 extension counters, 167 branchless banking locations, and 200 ATMs across all seven provinces of Nepal. This new initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting students and enhancing their access to higher education opportunities abroad.
