NAIMA Auto Show Copy of NADA
Anup Kumar Baral, coordinator of the NADA Auto Show under the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, has claimed that the auto show organized by NAIMA is a copy of their flagship event.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday to share updates on the upcoming exhibition, Baral emphasized that NADA is currently hosting its 18th edition, making it the country’s original automotive exhibition. “If someone organizes an auto show in between, we cannot stop them. But NADA is working in its own flow. NADA Auto Show is genuine; NAIMA Auto Show is a copy of NADA,” he asserted.
He further noted that NADA is a nationwide organization with branches across all seven provinces and over 2,800 members, making it unnecessary to compare it with any other association. Baral also highlighted NADA’s economic footprint, stating that member companies contribute 22 to 25 percent to Nepal’s overall revenue and economy while providing direct employment to over 100,000 individuals.
The ‘NADA Auto Show 2026’ is set to take place at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu from Bhadra 9 to 14 (August 25 to 30). Marking NADA’s 50th anniversary, this year’s edition is being organized as a special ‘Golden Jubilee Edition.’
This statement comes shortly after the conclusion of the second edition of the 6-day ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026,’ organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA).
