Upgrade to Samsung Galaxy Z Series: Get Up to NPR 15,000 Exchange Bonus While Reducing E-Waste
18th August 2026, Kathmandu
Samsung Nepal has introduced a strategic initiative to promote the reuse of old mobile devices alongside the sale of its latest smartphones. Under this new program, old smartphones and other devices collected through trade-ins will be tested, evaluated, and repurposed as needed.
Key Highlights of Samsung’s Initiative
Integration into the Ownership Ecosystem: During the launch of its new Galaxy Z series, Samsung integrated old device management into its core ownership ecosystem, allowing customers to trade in their old phones for new devices.
Testing and Evaluation: Through a collaboration with Appukudo and local partners, traded-in devices will undergo strict testing. Functional devices will be brought back into use, while non-functional devices will undergo proper, eco-friendly management.
Reducing E-Waste in Nepal: The initiative aims to curb the growing volume of electronic waste (e-waste) generated by smartphones and electronic gadgets, shifting away from the habit of directly discarding old phones and instead extending their lifecycle through reuse and recycling.
Galaxy Z Series Launch & Exchange Benefits: Alongside this sustainability push, Samsung unveiled its new lineup—the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Attractive Exchange Bonus: To ease the financial burden on consumers, Samsung Nepal is offering an exchange bonus of up to NPR 15,000 for customers trading in their old phones for the new foldables.
By combining environmental management with business strategy, Samsung Nepal is encouraging sustainable consumer habits while creating a seamless pathway from old device disposal to new technology acquisition.
