Neco Insurance Limited Fourth Quarter Financial Report Fiscal Year 2082/83 Overview

Neco Insurance Limited, an established player in the non-life insurance sector, has improved several key insurance business indicators through the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the company unaudited financial statements, its paid up capital, insurance fund, disaster fund, net insurance premium earned, and number of insurance policies issued all recorded positive growth.
Net Profit and Earnings Per Share Decline
During the review period, Neco Insurance Limited earned a net profit of 288.3 million rupees. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had posted a net profit of 578.8 million rupees.
As a result of this shift, net profit declined by 50.19 percent over the year.
The company earnings per share EPS stood at 10.40 rupees by the end of the fourth quarter. Despite the decline in overall profit compared to the previous year, the net worth per share of the company remained solid at 226.33 rupees.
Paid Up Capital and Reserve Funds Expansion
The paid up capital of Neco Insurance Limited increased by 10.21 percent to reach 2.77 billion rupees, compared to 2.52 billion rupees in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The insurance fund recorded even stronger growth during the review period. The insurance fund increased by 37.24 percent to reach 485.72 million rupees, compared to 353.91 million rupees a year earlier.
Prioritizing potential risk management, the company also increased its disaster fund. The disaster fund grew by 8.62 percent to stand at 181.5 million rupees, compared to 167.2 million rupees in the previous fiscal year.
Business Expansion and Policy Issuance Growth
Neco Insurance Limited made steady progress in expanding its non-life insurance business. During the review period, it earned net insurance premiums of 1.94 billion rupees, representing an increase of 2.10 percent from 1.90 billion rupees in the previous year.
Policy issuance also grew over the course of the fiscal year. The company issued 305,983 insurance policies during the period, compared to 291,897 policies issued during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Claim Payments and Total Expenses
The company made substantial claim payments to policyholders during the year. During the review period, Neco Insurance Limited paid total claims of 1.89 billion rupees, compared to 1.67 billion rupees in the previous fiscal year.
The higher volume of claim payments reflects the active fulfillment of policyholder obligations and commitment to service delivery by the company.
Total income recorded by the company reached 2.55 billion rupees during the review period, despite a mild decline in investment income. Total expenses for the fiscal year reached 2.14 billion rupees.
