Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited, which has established a distinct presence in the non-life insurance sector, has published its financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the company unaudited financial statements, although profitability was somewhat affected, other key indicators showed positive performance.
Net Profit and Earnings Per Share Decline
During the review period, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited earned a net profit of 326.85 million rupees. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had posted a net profit of 755.80 million rupees.
Although net profit declined compared to the previous year, the fundamental insurance business indicators of the company continued to expand.
The earnings per share EPS of the company stood at 11.65 rupees, down from 26.93 rupees in the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, the net worth per share was recorded at 260.26 rupees.
Insurance Fund and Disaster Fund Growth
The paid up capital of Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited remained completely unchanged at 2.81 billion rupees.
Prioritizing potential risk management, the company increased its disaster fund by 12.76 percent. The disaster fund grew to 256.93 million rupees, compared to 227.85 million rupees in the previous fiscal year.
The insurance fund recorded significant expansion during the review period. The insurance fund increased by 71.40 percent to reach 9.66 billion rupees, compared to 5.64 billion rupees in the previous year.
Net Insurance Premium Collection and Total Income
Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited maintained positive growth in income from its core insurance business. During the review period, it earned net insurance premiums of 2.19 billion rupees, compared to 2.12 billion rupees in the previous fiscal year.
This represents a 2.92 percent increase in net insurance premium income.
The company recorded total income of 3.11 billion rupees during the review period, compared to 3.19 billion rupees in the previous fiscal year.
Analysis of Expenses Commissions and Retained Earnings
Total expenses of the company increased by 25.11 percent to reach 2.64 billion rupees, compared to 2.11 billion rupees in the previous year. The rise in expenses was driven by higher business operating costs and claim payments.
Commission expenses saw a substantial increase of 97.06 percent to stand at 65.97 million rupees.
Retained earnings declined by 45.10 percent to 548.28 million rupees, compared to 998.71 million rupees in the previous year.
Policy Issuance Volume
During the fourth quarter review period, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited issued 270,685 insurance policies. In comparison, the company had issued 298,975 policies during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
