Digital Education Campaign

17th August 2021, Kathmandu

Lately, online classes are being used a lot in Nepal. Students are studying online when schools and colleges are closed due to the Corona pandemic.

In such a situation, the importance of digital education is seen. Various sectors have gone online for their transactions and services.

The use of technology has not stopped student learning even when the epidemic has closed schools and colleges. As it is a new experience, it has become a bit uncomfortable.

Although online education was not given much importance before the Corona pandemic, it is being given importance after the pandemic.

But there are still some problems in online classrooms due to connectivity problems in villages. However, the Corona pandemic has played an important role in advancing digital education.

Seeing the need for digital education in Nepal as well, in 2018, the Neema Education Foundation launched the digital learning platform Neema Academy.

According to the curriculum of the Curriculum Development Center, courses from classes 1 to 10 are kept in Neema Academy.

The Neema Academy can be used from website and app. It can also be read offline by downloading the contents of the app while on the Internet.

Neiha Joshi, COO of the company, said that it is easy for the students to understand as the course is designed through both audio and video.

As digital learning has become a major need lately due to Covid 19 and lockdown, Joshi says Neema Academy will fill that gap.

On Saturday, Neema Education Foundation celebrated its third anniversary. Neema aims to provide internationally recognized courses for Nepali students by 2022.
