Nepal Chamber Committed to Empowering Young Entrepreneurs For Digital Growth
6th July 2026, Kathmandu
The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has strongly reaffirmed its commitment to boosting the country’s startup ecosystem and driving economic growth by empowering the next generation of business leaders.
Nepal Chamber Empowering Young Entrepreneurs
Speaking at the official membership distribution and installation ceremony of the Nepal Youth Chamber, NCC President Kamlesh Kumar Agarwal emphasized that the role of young entrepreneurs is absolutely decisive for Nepal’s overarching economic prosperity. He noted that youthful leadership is no longer just a vision for the future, but a critical requirement for the present day.
Navigating a Digitally Transforming Global Economy
President Agarwal highlighted how rapidly the global economy is evolving, pointing directly to key catalysts of modern industrial change. He stated that digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), green innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge-based industries are fundamentally restructuring how businesses operate worldwide.
In this fast-paced, tech-driven environment, he urged Nepali youth to step up and take proactive leadership roles to ensure the nation does not get left behind.
“Nepal is blessed with an energetic, talented, and highly ambitious youth workforce. If we can build an ecosystem that actively fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, investment, and job creation, this dynamic workforce will become the foundational bedrock of Nepal’s economic prosperity.” Kamlesh Kumar Agarwal, NCC President
Empowering Youth via a Strategic Platform
During the ceremony, Agarwal underscored the strategic importance of the Nepal Youth Chamber. He envisioned it as a premier platform for:
Leadership Development: Cultivating the executive skills of young innovators.
Idea Exchange: Encouraging collaborative thinking across sectors.
International Networking: Expanding Nepali business horizons globally.
Policy Advocacy: Making meaningful, data-driven contributions to national economic policies.
To support these goals, the Nepal Chamber of Commerce remains dedicated to capacity building, policy advocacy, business network expansion, international partnerships, and promoting innovation-centric, digital-first initiatives.
Leadership is About Service, Not Power
Welcoming and congratulating the newly appointed members, President Agarwal stated that their inclusion reflects their inherent leadership potential, integrity, and dedication to institutional responsibility.
Offering his best wishes for a successful tenure, he shared a profound insight into the true meaning of leadership:
True Leadership over Title: Leadership is measured by a spirit of service rather than institutional authority.
Creating Opportunities: Holding a position is less about personal prestige and more about a responsibility to create sustainable opportunities for others.
Building Trust: True leaders instill confidence, foster robust collaboration, and fortify the foundation of their organization.
He expressed absolute confidence that the new members of the Nepal Youth Chamber would elevate the institution by embracing excellence, technological innovation, and a deep-seated spirit of national service.
The event also featured insights from former NCC Presidents Rajesh Kazi Shrestha and Rajendra Malla, alongside Dipesh Ratna Tuladhar, the President of the Nepal Youth Chamber, who further elaborated on the crucial economic responsibilities resting on the shoulders of today’s young entrepreneurs.
