Nepal Cybersecurity Meetup concluded successfully, drawing together key stakeholders from academia, industry, and the cybersecurity community. Hosted by the Information Security Response Team Nepal (npCert) and co-organized by the Center for Cybersecurity Research and Innovation (csrinepal.org), the event proved to be a pivotal platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Cybersecurity Meetup FosteringFounder President of npCert, Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari, took center stage to deliver insights into incident handling and prevention measures, emphasizing the critical role of proactive cybersecurity strategies in safeguarding digital assets.

Cybersecurity Practitioner, Pranav Nepal, shed light on common vulnerability issues plaguing web applications, particularly within the OWASP framework. His presentation underscored the importance of addressing these vulnerabilities to fortify the resilience of digital infrastructure.

Information Security Trainee Assistant, Kshitiz Gahatraj, engaged attendees by outlining potential career paths within the cybersecurity field, offering invaluable guidance to aspiring professionals. His discussion at Texas International College aimed to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity experts.

The meetup culminated with closing remarks from Omkar Basnet, Head of Department at Texas International College, who emphasized the imperative of bridging the gap between academia and industry. Basnet’s insights highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to ensure that academic programs align with the evolving demands of the cybersecurity landscape.
