NIF Celebrated Safer Internet Day

Nepal Internet Foundation has celebrated Safe Internet Day. The Foundation has celebrated Safe Internet Day by organizing various public awareness programs.

Foundation organized the Virtual Program on February 08, which is the same day as Safe Internet Day on “Together for a better Internet”. Many students and founders of foster homes attended the meeting.

JCI President Pradeep Dhamala delivered a welcome speech on the occasion of Safe Internet Day. General Manager and Founding Director of Cash Trading Bhushan Ratna Bajracharya and Nepal Internet Foundation provided awareness training on safe Internet usage.

Similarly, Worldlink Marketing Manager Tenzin Chogyal gave a presentation on WorldLink’s facilities to protect children from unnecessary content and brief on the app SafeNet to keep them safe.

At the end of the program, Bikram Shrestha, President of Nepal Internet Foundation, presented a poster of Safe Internet Day with his closing remarks.

On the occasion of Safe Internet Day, Nepal Internet Foundation has distributed posters to ward chairperson Bal Krishna Shrestha and ward representative of Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward No. 3 on February 11 and discussed the program.

Similarly, on the occasion of Safe Internet Day 2022, the Foundation has released cartoon posters with messages in three orphanages of Budhanilkantha Municipality on Saturday, February 12.

The main objective of the program is to make children aware of what to do and what not to do on the Internet. In collaboration with Worldlink Communications, Nepal Internet Foundation will provide free Internet service to 37 children’s orphanages in Budhanilkantha Municipality.

Similarly, the foundation has also distributed posters about safe Internet in 3 organizations and provided information about safe use. Bikram Shrestha, President of Nepal Internet Foundation, handed over a poster to Bhanu Sharma, Founder of Ekta Balbalika Vikas Kendra, expressing his knowledge about safe Internet and information about crime through Internet service and its solution. At the center, 14 girls are receiving awareness and education.

Similarly, Shrestha shared his knowledge and experience about safe Internet with Mr. Dandy Sherpa, founder of Tewa Association for Children with Disabilities. The association has been providing education and training to 22 people with disabilities.

Also, Shrestha handed over the poster to Ms. Diksha Chapagain, founder of Pavitra Samaj Seva Nepal. There are about 50 orphans and old people in the Pavitra Samaj Seva Nepal.
