Nepal SBI Bank is issuing 3 million units of bonds. The bank has opened the sales to the public, aiming to raise NPR 3 billion. The bond issuance includes two different bond series with different tenures and interest rates. The bonds will be available starting Ashadh 22(6 July) and Ashadh 30(14 July), respectively, according to the Nepali calendar.

7% Nepal SBI Bank Bond 2090: A 10-Year Investment Opportunity
Nepal SBI Bank will issue the “7% Nepal SBI Bank Bond 2090” with a tenure of 10 years. The annual interest rate is set at 7%. The issuance will start on Ashadh 30 and remain open until Shrawan 12, or until the bonds are fully subscribed.
A total of 3 million units will be issued. Each unit has a face value of NPR 1,000, making the total amount NPR 3 billion. Of these, 60% or 1.8 million units are allocated for individual investors. The remaining 40%, which equals 1.2 million units, is reserved for the general public.
Among the public allocation, 5% or 60,000 units are set aside for collective investment funds. Investors must apply for a minimum of 25 units. However, they can apply for the full amount if they wish.

Application Process And Deadlines
Investors can apply for these bonds through multiple channels. Applications can be submitted via the “Mero Share” website and app, as well as through C-ASBA member banks, financial institutions, and their branch offices.
The 10-year bond issuance will close between Shrawan 1(17 July) and Shrawan 12(28 July).
Allocation And Investment Guidelines
The bonds are open to both individual investors and the general public. Collective investment funds are eligible to apply for a portion of the public allocation in the 10-year bond series.
Investors should note that the minimum application size is 25 units for both bonds. There is no upper limit for the 10-year bond. However, for the 5-year bond, the maximum application limit is 1.2 million units.
