The HMC Nepal HIXEMI CAN INFOTECH 2025 exhibition, which began on February 6, is drawing large crowds at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.

The event, now on its fourth day, has attracted students, tech enthusiasts, young professionals, artists, athletes, policymakers, and government officials.
A Hub for Technological Innovation
The exhibition serves as an ideal platform for exploring the growth and advancements in information technology. Visitors have the opportunity to see the latest tech products and gain insights into the future of technology.
Notable Visitors
On Sunday, several influential figures visited the exhibition. These included Indra Baniya, Bagmati Province Assembly member; Ganesh Sah, former minister; Rabindra Mishra, Vice President of the National Democracy Party; Dr. Suman Narasingh Raj Bhandari, Vice Chairman of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Urban Planning Commission; Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, Mayor of Diktel Municipality; and senior police officials, including DIGs Arun Bhattarai and Kumar Neupane. Additionally, Computek Taiwan’s South Asia representatives and celebrity Miss Pavi were also present.
Pushing for Digital Nepal
The visitors emphasized the importance of initiatives like CAN Infotech in promoting the development of a Digital Nepal. They expressed the need to prioritize the ICT sector in national policy. The leaders also pledged to support Nepali innovation and talent with targeted programs to help foster the growth of local startups.
Focus on Innovation
At the exhibition, numerous stalls attracted attention, featuring global IT brands, internet service providers, network security solutions, domestic satellite providers, AI tools, fintech services, e-commerce platforms, software developers, and ride-sharing apps. In particular, AI-powered tools and self-driving cars caught the interest of attendees. Many visitors were also drawn to Nepali-made software and technology products developed by local innovators.
Supporting Nepali Startups
The event highlighted the need for global exposure of Nepali AI technologies. Experts noted that data-driven analysis could enable Nepali AI to make important contributions to decision-making on the global stage. Furthermore, speakers stressed the importance of supporting Nepali startups to build Nepal as a technology hub in the future.
Discounts and Special Offers
The exhibition features 140 stalls offering a wide range of discounts, with some products marked down by 10% to 70%. In addition, the Robotics Association of Nepal will host a live robotics competition and award ceremony.
Final Day and Extended Hours
As CAN Infotech 2025 wraps up on Monday, ticket sales will remain open until 6 PM. Organizers are planning to announce more special offers on the final day. The event has successfully showcased the latest technology in Nepal, providing a glimpse into the future of the nation’s tech landscape.
