In a recent decision by the Government of Nepal, Sangita Pahadee Aryal has been appointed as the Managing Director of Nepal Telecom (Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited).

Nepal Telecom Gets New MD

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology made this official appointment on Sunday, following the decision of the Council of Ministers on Bhadra 20, granting Aryal a four-year term in this prestigious role, as confirmed by Nepal Telecom’s spokesperson, Kishor Kumar Bhatt.

Before her official appointment, Aryal was serving as the Acting Managing Director of Nepal Telecom. She had assumed this responsibility following a decision made by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on Ashoj 17, 2080.

Aryal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) from Allahabad University, India, and a Master’s degree in Engineering (ME) from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. She began her career in Nepal Doorsanchar Institution on Chaitra 23, 2049, as a temporary engineer and was permanently appointed on Falgun 10, 2051. She rose through the ranks and was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of Nepal Telecom on Magh 18, 2078.

Upon taking charge, Aryal expressed her gratitude to the Government of Nepal for entrusting her with this responsibility. She pledged to uphold the dignity of her position and promised to further elevate Nepal Telecom by prioritizing the trust placed in her.
