Directed by Saurabh Chaudhary, who previously gained attention with ‘Agastya: Chapter 1’, the movie has been making waves across YouTube and social media platforms through its trailer, title track, and the featured song ‘Pagal’.
From teaser to trailer and songs, the promotional content has successfully captured the attention of cinema lovers. The recently released trailer and songs are currently trending on YouTube, reflecting the growing hype around the movie.
If this level of momentum continues until its release date, ‘Karma’ is expected to make a strong impact at the box office. Judging by the audience reactions to the trailer and songs, the film has a strong chance of pulling crowds to the theatres.
The song ‘Pagal’, performed by popular singer Sushant K.C., has reached No. 2 on YouTube’s trending chart under the Music category. Written and composed by K.C. himself, the song has amassed over 1.32 million views since its release on Monday. This marks K.C.’s debut song for a feature film, and fans have responded positively, expressing their intent to watch the film in theaters.
Similarly, the movie’s trailer, released last Thursday, is trending at No. 6 under YouTube’s Movie section and has gained nearly 996,000 views so far. The trailer portrays how a corrupt society can turn an innocent young man into a criminal, showing his journey from pursuing his goals to becoming entangled in violence and law enforcement custody — a storyline that has resonated with many viewers in a short time.
Adding to the growing excitement, singer Durgesh Thapa, who is currently one of the most talked-about artists, has contributed the film’s title track, ‘Karma’, which is also trending on YouTube.
Released on Sunday evening, the title track entered the trending list within just five hours. It currently holds the 14th position under the Music section. Written and composed by Durgesh himself, the song conveys a strong message — “Good for the good, bad for the bad” — and highlights the universal truth that people are treated based on their actions.
Following the buzz created by the trailer and Sushant K.C.’s song, Durgesh’s title track has further intensified the film’s hype. The song has already crossed 310,000 views, with numbers continuing to rise rapidly.
Set for a simultaneous release in Nepal and overseas on 29th Chaitra (Nepali New Year’s Eve), the international distribution rights of ‘Karma’ have been acquired by Seven Seas Cinema.
Presented by Artistic Entertainment, the film stars Bipin Karki, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Mukun Bhusal, Sarita Giri, Divyadev, Ben Basnet, Sujan Silwal, Anil Budhathoki, Nirmal Sharma, among others.
‘Karma’ is an action-packed film that blends drama, suspense, and intense action sequences.
Backed by Basanta Lamsal, the movie features cinematography by Sanjay Lama, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj, background score and sound design by Uttam Neupane, action direction by Shree Shrestha, and editing by Nimesh Shrestha. Music direction is by Bhaskar Swar.
