HTC announced the new HTC One ME smartphone in June 2015 and released it the same month that comes up with an Android OS v5.0.2 (Lollipop) which is planned to upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow). This phone has a dimension of 151 x 72 x 9.8 mm (5.94 x 2.83 x 0.39 in) with 9.8 mm thickness and weighs about 155 grams.
This phone supports GSM/ HSPA/ LTE network configurations. It uses Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) technology. The display is of 16M colors and has AMOLED capacities touchscreen. The screen size is 5.2 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 68.6%. The screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels which are precisely 565 PPI pixel density. It supports multi touch and comes up with HTC Sense UI 7.0.
It has got Media tek MT6795 Helio X10 chip-set and CPU comprises of Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processors. The GPU used is Power VR G 6200. The internal memory available is 32 GB containing 3 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 200 GB (dedicated slot).
The primary camera comprises of a 20 MP, f/2.2, 28 mm, autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash camera while secondary comprises of 4 MP, f/2.0, 27 mm, 1/3″ sensor size, 2µm pixel size, 1080 p@30 fps and HDR. The video feature includes 2160@30 fps. The camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR.
The microphone jack is 3.55 mm with Dolby Surround Sound and has got stereo loudspeakers. The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, Wifi direct and hotspot. The Bluetooth version is v4.1, A2DP, apt-X. It also comes with NFC connection and the GPS technology used is A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS.
It also contains FM radio and also the Infrared port is present. It also comes with compass, accelerator, gyro and proximity sensors. The USB available is micro USB v2.0. The messaging can be performed via MMS, SMS threaded view, Email and Push mail. The battery used is Non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAH battery that gives up to 598 h (2 G) / up to 626 h(3 G) standby and up to 23 h(2G) / up to 13 h(3 G) talk time.
The colors available are Meteor Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold Sepia. The main disadvantages of this phone are the battery is Non-removable battery, no fast charger provided.
