NLG Insurance Company Limited recently held a comprehensive discussion program on agriculture and livestock insurance in Khajura Rural Municipality, Banke district.

The event, which took place on Saturday, aimed to extend insurance services to common citizens, particularly farmers, and was executed with great enthusiasm and participation.

Sunil Shrestha, the business coordinator of NLG Insurance, emphasized the company’s commitment to conducting agriculture and livestock insurance programs across various municipalities in the district.

The initiative is part of their broader effort to include more farmers under the insurance umbrella.

Krishna Kumari Paudel, a member of the working committee of Khajura Rural Municipality, served as the chief guest and highlighted the necessity of agriculture and livestock insurance for farmers.

She urged everyone to get insured and assured that the municipality would continue to strive to bring more farmers into the insurance fold. Paudel expressed her gratitude to NLG Insurance for organizing such a beneficial event and called for similar programs to be held regularly.

Special guests at the program included Gaurab Sapkota, manager of Janata Dairy Cooperative Society Khajura, Bhojraj Rawal, information officer of Animal Services Training Center Nepalganj, agricultural experts Gopichandar Bohra, Dilli Bahadur Khadka, Navina Thapa, Amrita Pandey, and agricultural journalist Khagendra Dahal from Khabarganj Dotcom. Each guest shared their insights and perspectives on the importance of agriculture and livestock insurance.

Bivek Bhandari, head of the Nepalganj branch of NLG Insurance Company, chaired the program. He expressed his appreciation for the diverse attendees and addressed the questions raised during the discussion.

Bhandari explained the purpose of the program and the provisions and significance of agriculture and livestock insurance.

He reiterated the ongoing efforts in Banke district to expand insurance coverage for farmers and thanked the Khajura community for their support in making the event successful.

The program saw the participation of 55 individuals representing various villages and wards of Khajura Rural Municipality.

Karn Priya Rana, President of Nemla Bank, conducted the program, with Rajish Bhandari and Chitra B.K., employees of the NLG Insurance Company Nepalganj branch, also in attendance.
