Norvic International Hospital Declares 42.105 Percent Dividend and Plans IPO via Book Building

Norvic International Hospital and Medical College Limited has announced a total 42.105 percent dividend for its shareholders from the profits earned during the fiscal year 2082/83.
Norvic Hospital Declares Dividend
The dividend proposal was formally endorsed during the company sixth Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Bhadra 26, 2083.
The total dividend distribution combines a 20 percent bonus share issuance and a 22.105 percent cash dividend, with the cash component covering applicable tax liabilities.
Dividend Breakdown and IPO via Book-Building Process
Following the distribution of bonus shares, Norvic International Hospital plans to issue 20 percent of its post-bonus paid-up capital to the general public through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) using the book-building method.
The Annual General Meeting authorized the Board of Directors to execute all required procedural, administrative, and legal activities, including the preparation and approval of the prospectus intended for institutional investors.
Financial Performance Highlights
Norvic International Hospital reported financial growth during fiscal year 2082/83:
- Excluding Pharmacy Operations: Total income reached approximately NPR 2.83 billion, total expenses stood at NPR 2.36 billion, and net profit exceeded NPR 470 million.
- Consolidated Performance (Including Pharmacy Operations): Total income rose to approximately NPR 3.47 billion, total expenses reached NPR 2.99 billion, and net profit crossed NPR 478.5 million.
Operational Reach and Patient Care Statistics
During the fiscal year 2082/83, the hospital delivered extensive medical services across multiple departments:
- Outpatient Department (OPD): Served approximately 179,000 patients.
- Inpatient Department (IPD): Provided care to around 9,000 patients.
- Emergency Services: Treated approximately 6,000 emergency patients.
International Migration Health Screening: Conducted health evaluations for around 41,000 individuals traveling to Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
Infrastructure Expansion and Strategic Initiatives
Norvic has outlined major strategic and infrastructure expansion initiatives across its healthcare vertical:
- Pharmacy Network Expansion: Norvic Pharmacy Pvt. Ltd. currently operates 15 outlets within the Kathmandu Valley. The company targets expanding the network to 54 branches in the current fiscal year (18 inside the Kathmandu Valley, 15 outside the Valley, and 6 franchise outlets) and aims to reach 100 outlets within two years.
- 50-Bed Norvic City Hospital Project: Plans are underway for a specialized 50-bed hospital providing OPD, emergency, critical care, inpatient, and operating theatre services alongside diagnostic imaging and laparoscopic surgical facilities.
- NPR 3 Billion Integrated Cancer Institute: Norvic plans to establish the Norvic Integrated Cancer Institute with an investment of approximately NPR 3 billion. Founder Chairman Basant Kumar Chaudhary serves as the strategic adviser for this project.
- Home Healthcare Services: The hospital is expanding home-based medical and geriatric care through its Norvic At Home initiative.
CSR Flood Relief Contribution
During the AGM, CEO Ajay Kumar Mishra announced that Norvic Hospital will contribute NPR 10 million to the flood victims relief fund in Rasuwa to assist recovery and relief operations following recent flood disasters.
