Oculus And Microsoft To Come Strong Together

As with the virtual reality being a big topic, for now, it is mainly going to have a significant impact on the gaming world. Oculus is set to launch its headset maybe by the start of 2016.
Oculus held a press conference on Thursday to give a heads up on a few key details on the device. The device is expected to be available by the end of March 2016. It also announced $10million to help independent developers develop games for Oculus.
They also demonstrated a prototype of controllers that player will play with old in each hand to navigate the virtual environment. The device will be shipped with Xbox controllers. The Facebook-owned Oculus has done an excellent job collaborating with Microsoft.
Brendan Iribe, the company’s chief executive officer, said that the headsets would ship with Xbox controllers, and he described how Oculus would have “tight integration with Windows.” He said players would be able to stream Xbox One games onto the Oculus headsets.
It is still a mystery how the world of virtual reality will pay out. However, with the competition between companies make it seem like the war between smartphones. The only difference is the device quite an evolution in the technology.
The development for the virtual reality is also a mystery as we don’t know how it might be but its challenging for sure. If the event doesn’t go with the flow, the device may end up bad. But Microsoft has done a great job also working on the augmented reality rather than just the virtual reality.
Augmented reality combines the virtual world with the real world. Now the entire gaming industry has jumped to virtual reality; however, Microsoft has been only one working on the augmented reality with dedication. Microsoft’s partnership with Oculus also gives it more flexibility to experiment with HoloLens as something more than a gaming device.
There are so many developments for virtual reality, but no have shown much interest in AR. Therefore developers seem to have faith in VR rather than AR. However the team up of the headsets with Xbox looks perfect.
