OnePlus may release another phone in the Nord series shortly. The company is said to be working on a Nord N20 5G phone.

The smartphone’s design and major characteristics have been revealed in rumored renders.

OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone brand based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, founded in December 2013 by former Oppo vice-president Pete Lau and Carl Pei.

The firm is one of BKK Electronics’ three subsidiaries, the other two being Oppo and Vivo. The OnePlus One, the company’s first smartphone, was released in 2014.

The phone was first released in India in collaboration with Amazon India, which was subsequently the company’s preferred sales partner for all of its handsets.

On the first OnePlus smartphone, Cyanogen OS, a custom-made operating system based on the Android platform, was utilized.

OnePlus used only to release one phone per year. However, that changed in 2016 when the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T were introduced in the same year. The OnePlus 3T was the company’s first T-edition phone, with improved hardware and a better selfie camera.

The company is working on a 5G successor to the Nord N10, which was released last year. The triple rear cameras, a glossy back panel, and a metal frame are all seen in the OnePlus Nord N20 5G renders.

The leaked renders also suggest a hole-punch display and a boxy form. The OnePlus Nord N20 5G is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G SoC.

The phone is yet to receive an official announcement from the corporation.

A flat display with a punch-hole camera cutout in the front has been displayed on a leak by @OnLeaks. It depicts a matte black/dark grey phone with an aluminum plate going through the sides and what appears to be a glass sandwich construction. A selfie camera is placed in the upper left corner.

The OnePlus Alert Slider is no longer available. The handset could contain an isolated triple camera arrangement on the back, with two larger sensors and a small third sensor.

The leaks will immediately recall those who have been following smartphones for a long time of two phones. The first was the iPhone 4, which Apple attempted to imitate in some ways with the iPhone 12 series.

The OnePlus X, the company’s first affordable handset before the Nord series debuted years later, is the other. Both of these legendary phones had a similar design, and it appears that OnePlus is returning to these design choices.

Alleged Specifications of OnePlus Nord N20 5G

91Mobiles collaborated with tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) to release OnePlus Nord N20 5G renders and specifications ahead of its launch.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor is expected to power the OnePlus Nord N20 5G. It could have a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. An under-display camera sensor may also be included in the display.

The handset is expected to have a 48MP camera with an ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP macro sensors on the back. One will be a depth sensor, while the other will be a macro sensor, according to reports.

The phone could include a 16MP selfie camera on the front as well. An LED flash complements this one-of-a-kind module. According to the source, the phone will be available in Grey and Purple.

Meanwhile, the Pac-Man edition of the OnePlus Nord 2 has been released in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 37,999 and comes in a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Nord 2 smartphone, released earlier this year, included Pac-Man game design features thanks to a collaboration with Bandai Namco.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset powers the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man edition, which has a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera configuration on the back. The phone supports a 32MP selfie camera on the front for taking selfies.
