OPPO on April 20, 2020, announced the appointment of LieLIU as the President of Global Marketing, who also doubles as CMO of China, and will report directly to Tony Chen, founder, and CEO of OPPO.
In addition, Brian Shen will step down from his current role in the company for personal health reasons.
According to IDC, OPPO’s shipments reached 114.3 million units globally with 8.3% market share, ranking the 5thin the global smartphone market in 2019. Glocalization is still the main focus of OPPO. For OPPO, operating global markets is not just about selling products to the world, but integrating and utilizing global resources as well as continuing to deepen our commitment to each market.
Due to the rapid development of OPPO in the global market, we need to adopt a better global deployment. In the future, OPPO will focus on improving our capabilities on glocalization in key markets, and continue to provide users with more outstanding products and services.
Current President of Global Marketing Brian Shen will step down from his position in the company on the effective date, due to personal health reasons. OPPO appreciates Brian’s commitments while we look forward to him returning to the OPPO family.
