The foundation for the much-anticipated Pathibhara Cable Car project, connecting Taplejung’s renowned Pathibhara Temple, has officially been laid.

Ceremony Highlights:
The foundation-laying ceremony took place at Kaflepati, the starting point of the cable car route, with Member of Constituent Assembly Dambar Dhwaj Tumbahangphe and Fungling Municipality Mayor Amir Maden performing the inaugural rituals. The event witnessed a large turnout of local representatives, political leaders, and community members, who came together to celebrate the commencement of this ambitious infrastructure project.

Addressing the crowd, Mayor Amir Maden emphasized the transformative impact the Pathibhara Cable Car could have on Taplejung’s economy, culture, and society. According to Rudra Paudel, a member of the cable car company’s board, the area had been prepared by removing trees to clear the construction site. With the foundation now laid, the construction is set to advance swiftly, aiming for a completion date within the next 15 months. Indra Kedem, head of Himalaya Construction, assured the public that work will proceed at an accelerated pace, supported by local political leaders and community members.
