Pay Revenue Including Vehicles From The Nagarik (Citizen) App

Nagarik App is a mobile application launched by Nepal Government to provide government-related services on a single platform so that the citizens would enjoy the services easily online wherever they are and whenever they like.

Due to the worldwide pandemic technologies have increased more and more day by day. Everything is going online. Considering the present scenario, the government has started preparations to make it possible to pay all kinds of taxes from the citizen app.

According to Shobha Kant Pandey, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, arrangements have been made to pay the vehicle revenue and renewal fee through the app from this fiscal year.

“We plan to launch as many facilities as possible within this fiscal year. But it is a technical thing. Let’s see, it may take some time, ‘said Pandey to Sethopati.

The Ministry of Communications has stated that arrangements have been made to open a bank account from the Citizen app and other services will be added gradually.

The government made the announcement while releasing the full version of the citizen app on Sunday.

“We have some facilities. We will be adding other facilities from this fiscal year, ‘said Joint Secretary Poudel.

After the arrangement of paying vehicle tax through the app, the obligation to pay tax by sitting in line all day will be removed. Vehicle insurance and renewal fees can be paid through the app.

At the same time, the government is preparing to make arrangements to pay other revenue through the app.
