Good news! Easy Taxi has made an agreement with Machhapuchhre Bank to start the digital payment of taxi fare. Therefore, now you can pay the taxi fare digitally.

The agreement was signed by Deputy General Manager Sarju Kumar Thapa on behalf of Machhapuchhre Bank and Managing Director Sanjit Poudel on behalf of Easy Assurance Pvt. Ltd.

According to the agreement, now the customers using Easy Taxi will be able to make the payment by scanning Machhapuchhre Bank’s QR code. Meanwhile, there are around 5000 taxis under Easy Taxi.

The managing director of Easy Taxi said, “While we were providing taxi service through the Easy Taxi Nepal app, there was a problem in payment. Now that problem has been solved. It will be easier to serve more passengers in the coming days”. He also said that the agreement will be of great help to push the digital payment aspect of Easy Taxi.

Meanwhile, the reason for this agreement is the current pandemic situation. It has become important to encourage digital money to minimize the transmission rate.

Lately, digital payment has become very popular in the Nepali market. Thanks to all the fintech companies developing the payment wallets for the financial and banking institutions.

We are sure that this initiative will be of great importance in today’s scenario. Even after the pandemic is over, digital payment in every domain should be continued.
