After the Chinese hacker hacked ATM system on September 1st, Global Bank along with eighteen other banks has been forced to use its bank card with respective ATM only.
The payment services through Global IME Bank’s cards have been resumed through the Point of Sale machine.
Now debit, credit and prepaid cardholders will be able to trade on all chip-based machines. Cash withdrawal service is only operational at same bank’s ATMs using only cards issued by that bank.
The bank has apologized to the customer for the inconvenience the Global IME Bank has made to the customers to use at the other bank’s ATM. However, the bank said that it was taking the initiative to restart the service as soon as possible.
