PCPS Convocation

Patan College for Professional Studies (PCPS) has organized the first graduation ceremony of the institution on Monday, 1st March 2021, at Hotel Kathmandu Marriott. The college is affiliated with the University of Bedfordshire, UK.

On this occasion, a total of 64 students were awarded degrees pertaining to the BSc (Hons) in Computer Science & Software Engineering and Bachelor in Business Administration. This indicated the great strides made by the college in the academic sector of the country in a relatively short period of time.

Education, Science, and Technology Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha graced the Convocation Ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he not only congratulated the graduating students but also stressed the need for optimum mobilization of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for expediting the country’s development.  He also informed that the government is forming a special task force to ensure a truly modern education system by amending the existing Education Act.

 On the occasion, Er. Pankaj Jalan, Chairman of LBEF Group of Institutions, expressed his great pride in the students and the institution during his concluding remarks. He further added PCPS College has grown to be a unique educational institution and his dream to make international education accessible to Nepali students has become a reality. The students, he suggested, are the true ambassadors of the college and he is eager to keep in contact with them to follow their future success.

Guest of Honor Vice-Chancellor of Kathmandu University, Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa expressed extreme pride and veneration for the graduating students and gave incentivizing advice to the graduates in preparation for their professional vocations. All the graduates were awarded their degrees by the Senate and the Director.

Special guest Mr. Rajendra Khetan, Chairman of NBCCI, took the opportunity to recognize the significance of student success and of instilling hope in their future. Mr. Khetan expresses his belief that the newly graduated students will deal with the challenges and opportunities presented by the corporate world in a truly effective manner. He also welcomed them into the country’s labor market.

Er. Prakash Kumar Kejriwal, Executive Director of LBEF Group of Institutions, in his welcome speech, shared a huge pride in the achievements of the students and the institution and wished all the graduates the very best of luck for their future endeavors.

PCPS currently offers BBA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) Computer Science & Software Engineering. PCPS College has partnered with Fusemachines, an artificial intelligence talent and education solutions company to offer MicrodegreeTM Program in Artificial Intelligence. The college offers an extra MicrodegreeTMdegree with their undergrad program, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Software Engineering degree.
