POCO’s latest budget flagship, POCO M3 comes with a redesigned back and a Snapdragon processor with a huge 6000mAh battery. It is launching in the US market on 27th November.

Design & Display

Talking about the design, the Poco M3’s design definitely deserves the word ‘VALUE FOR money, when compared to most budget phones as it features excellent build quality. But the rear design of this phone is much more unique and recognizable. It does not feel cheap at all although the back cover isn’t glossy or made out of metal,. What makes the phone stand out from boring budget model designs is the textured leather cover finish. It has a large glossy camera bump emblazoned with a bright white “POCO” logo. The new POCO phone has 6.53 inches FHD IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. it has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with a 19.5:9 ratio, ~395 PPI density.

Performance

It runs on Octa-core with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, which is not a power-packed performance choice. But still, users can have a fluid and complete experience using the global version of Xiaomi Mi UI 12 Operating System. This phone is supported by Adreno 610 graphics. For memory, it has two variants 64GB/4GB RAM and 128GB/4GB RAM variant. When running certain games like PUBG, the game didn’t allow to turn on HD or higher graphics and it only can run at a Medium-frame-rate option under balanced graphics. But the frame rate can go up under smooth graphics settings.

Camera

In this Poco model, the primary camera has been bumped to 48MP from 16MP (Poco M2). There is one in the front and three sensors in the rear panel. In front, it includes 48 MP wide, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth feature which can shoot videos at 1080p at 30fps. Thus the main camera can shoot high-resolution photos with rich and clear details. In the front, it has 8 MP which can shoot videos at 1080p at 30fps.

Battery

 This poco phone is powered by Li-Po 6000 mAh battery. The battery is Non-removable and has 18W Fast charging. This is not really a fast-charging solution for an Android phone because it takes over 2 hours to fully charge the phone.

For connectivity, the POCO M3 includes Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Infrared port, Radio, FM radio, USB: 2.0, Type-C. It also includes various sensors Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, compass.
