Prabhu Bank Limited Contributes NPR 21,111,111 to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund

Prabhu Bank Limited has provided financial assistance under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support search, rescue, emergency relief, and rehabilitation efforts for citizens affected by severe flooding along the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.

Financial Contribution and Official Handover

Total Allocation: The commercial bank handed over a check for NPR 21,111,111 (NPR 2.11 crore) to be deposited into the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Rescue Fund.

Executive Delegation: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suman Sharma formally presented the check to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle during an official ceremony at the Ministry of Finance on September 2.

Key Presence: Bank Chairman Kishor Jung Karki, Director Raju Paudel, and Director Dr. Ambika Sharma Lamichhane were also present at the handover event.

Target Impact Zone: The financial aid directly addresses the devastation caused by the sudden Bhotekoshi River flood, which impacted settlements along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, causing significant loss of life and property across affected districts.

Operational Objective: The funds are designated to reinforce state-managed search and rescue operations, immediate relief distribution, and long-term recovery for impacted communities.

Condolences and Well-Wishes: Prabhu Bank expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of Nepali and foreign nationals who lost their lives, while wishing for the swift rescue of missing individuals and the speedy recovery and treatment of those injured.
