Prabhu Bank Launches PBL Mastercard Debit Card

Nepal, Kathmandu – January 10, 2019- Prabhu Bank Ltd. (PBL), in partnership with Mastercard, has introduced PBL Mastercard Standard domestic debit cards, to ring in the New Year 2019. These debit cards provide seamless, safe and secure digital payment solutions for the bank’s customers.

Mastercard is a technology company in the global payments industry. Its global payments processing network connects consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses in more than 210 countries and territories. This partnership will further increase the bank’s system throughout the country with seamless, safe and secure transactions.

The launch program was initiated with the welcome speech by Mr. Ashok Sherchan, CEO of the Bank, who announced the new partnership with Mastercard and the value it will create in the future, by providing a broader range of services to the bank’s customers, thereby benefiting both companies. IT was followed by a speech by Mr. Porush Singh, Mastercard’s Division President for South Asia, who stated that the company is looking forward to work with Prabhu Bank. After that, both parties symbolically exchanged the new partnership agreement and Mr. Devi Prakash Bhattachan, Chairman of the bank, disclosed the program with the closing speech.
