Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G with a Quad Camera and SD 750G Launched

Redmi Note 9 5G Pro has launched in China along with Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G. The new smartphones launched by Xiaomi will be available for purchase in the Chinese market from December 1. The international launch of the 3 new phones in the Redmi Note 9 series has not been announced yet.

Design & Display

Redmi Note 9 Pro has a sleek and vibrant design with a glass front and glass back both of Gorilla Glass 5. It has a larger body than its other two siblings. Talking about dimension it has 165.4 x 76.8 x 9 mm (6.51 x 3.02 x 0.35 in) and weighs 215 g (7.58 oz).

The Redmi note device sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD FHD display. It has an IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole on the top center for the selfie camera. The screen is slightly bigger than Redmi Note 9 5G. One of the highlights of this device is its 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. As with the Redmi Note 9 5G, the brightness of this variant can get as low as 1 nit for light and comfortable viewing at night.

At the back, this phone includes a circular camera module with a triple camera setup architecture. The Redmi branding towards the bottom is also delicate and the rear panel has a gradient finish.

Talking about the physical features this flagship Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD. It has a 2,400×1,080 pixels resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 250Hz touch sampling rate.

It has an IP water resistance rating of IP53

Performance

This Pro variant phone runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G Mobile Platform with the support of Adreno 619 in Graphics. The chipset includes the 5th Generation Qualcomm AI Engine. It operates on Android 10 with UI of MIUI 12 which runs at the top of OS. For storage, the phone is available in 3 variants: 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, & 8/256 GB.

Camera

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a circular setup at the back, that features a quad rear camera setup. The back camera features a 108-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture. It also consists of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It can shoot videos of 4k at 30fps and videos of 1080p up to 60fps. This Redmi phone also includes a Super Night Scene 2.0 mode and also has Dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, panorama options. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel camera that can shoot videos of 1080p at 30fps with HDR, panorama features.

Battery

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G packs a Li-Po  4820mAh battery. It has the support of 33W fast charging which can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 58 minutes.

Connectivity

For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth5.1, GPS, NFC, Infrared port, USB Type-C 2.0 connection port.

This phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and other sensors such as gyro, proximity, compass, accelerometer.

There is no clue for an international launch. From December 1, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be available in China. The starting price for the base variant (6/128GB) is CNY 1,599, for 8/128GB is 1,799 Yuan, for 8/256GB is 1,999 Yuan. Looking at that, the price of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in Nepal for the base variant (6/128GB) is NPR 32,000, for 8/128GB is NPR 36,000, for 8/256GB is NPR 40,000 approximately.
