Samsung announced Samsung Galaxy A12 in the A series on 26th November. Along with A12 the company also unveiled another budget phone, Galaxy A02s. Both devices will be launched only in 2021.

Design & Display
This new Samsung Galaxy A12 has a matte finish on the back with a dual-tone finish. It comes with a 6.5-inch display and has an Infinity-V notch while its predecessor came with a punch-hole display. Infinity-V notch means an HD+ panel with noticeable bezels around the screen, especially on the bottom chin. This budget phone has a dual-tone finish with a textured look on the upper portion. It also includes the square camera module on the top left corner, while the lower portion comes with Samsung’s branding. Considering its budget the body is most likely made of plastic (plastic back, plastic frame).
Looking at its physical dimensions, it has 164 x 75.8 x 8.9mm dimensions and weighs 205gm. It has a 6.5-inches HD+ TFT display with a Glass front. The screen has a 720 x 1560 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 264 PPI.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy A12 runs on an octa-core processor. However, the Samsung company didn’t mention the chipset name. According to various sources, there has been speculated that A12 comes with MediaTek’s Helio P35. It features eight Cortex-A53 cores of which half of them operate at 2.3GHz and the rest of them clocked at 1.8GHz. The device is available in three configurations – 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM4GB RAM/64 GB ROM and 6 GB RAM/128 GB ROM. Also, the storage can be expanded up to 512GB thanks to the microSD card slot. Also, it packs in the Samsung Knox security platform for additional security of the device.
Camera
On to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A12 offers a quad-camera design at the back. It has a 48MP primary shooter along with 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a new sensor, a 2MP macro sensor. Talking about the front camera, it has 8MP and aperture of f/2.2 selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering the device is a massive Li-Po 5000 mAh battery unit. It comes along with 15 W adaptive fast charge support.
Connectivity
As far we know it features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB for connectivity. It also has Side-mounted Physical fingerprint scanner for security purpose.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Price in Nepal
Galaxy A12 will be available starting January 2021 in Europe and is priced at €179 and €199 for the 3/32GB and 6/128GB variant according to The Verge.
So, looking at that the price of the Samsung Galaxy A12 in Nepal is expected to be NPR 25,000 and NPR 28,000, respectively.
