The 38th Annual General Meeting of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited, chaired by Ms. Zarin Daruwala, Chairperson of the Bank, was successfully held at the Army Officers Club in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu on 10 December 2024.

The Bank has recorded an Operating Profit of NPR4.7 billion for the Financial Year 2023/24. The Bank was able to achieve an underlying Profit After Tax of NPR3.3 billion.

The Return on Equity of 19.0 percent and Earning Per Share of NPR34.7 this FY for Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited, remains the highest in the industry. As recommended by the Board of Directors, the Bank has announced a 19.0 percent cash dividend and a stock dividend of 6.5 percent of paid-up capital (amounting to a total dividend of 25.5 percent), reflective of our commitment to delivering value to our investors.

The Chairperson of the Bank, Ms. Daruwala thanked all the investors, clients, regulators, employees, and other stakeholders for their continued support and mentioned: “Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited is proud to play a vital role in Nepal’s economic development as the only international bank in the country, with a legacy dating back to 1987”. She further added, “Our focus on efficiency has helped support achieve a Return on Equity (ROE) of 19.0 percent, which is the highest in the banking industry.”

Standard Chartered Group holds 70.21 percent and the General public hold 29.79 percent shares in Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited.
