Securities Board to implement ‘ICT Operational Manual’ empower the use of information technology. The Nepal Securities Board (NSB) has now adopted the Operating Manual of Information Technology for 2020. The stock market regulator has announced that a new manual has been prepared to increase information technology quality.
The Nepal Securities Board (NSB) Information Technology Policy 2076 was developed to make the growth and expansion of the securities market and exchange market systematic and well-governed and to make the increasing use of information technology secure and reliable in market-related activities, to make the overall market transparent and trustworthy and to make the information technology used in the market.
The required guidelines for the formulation and implementation of the Board’s Information Technology Policy have been developed and enforced in the Annual Policy and Program of the Board for the fiscal year 2077/78. The SEBON ICT Operation Manual, 2020 has been prepared, and the manual has been implemented from Wednesday, Poush 8th.
Organizational provisions on information technology in the ICT Operational Manual, 2020; Operation and management of data centers; Provision of information technology network infrastructure; Research and development of information technology; Technical evaluation and pre-transfer inspection and testing required for procurement and development of information technology equipment to be used by the Board; Standard and effective management of hardware, power, and energy; Management of daily use of information, communication and technology.
As soon as the manual is introduced, the Board will be able to make efficient use of the Electronic Reporting and Retrieval System (ERRS) so that the stock market investors can send their annual and quarterly statements and other periodic information electronically.
Following the introduction of the ICT Operational Manual, 2020, the Board expects that the Board’s internal information and technology management work will be successful, that the IT standard will be enhanced, and that the Board’s institutional ability will be enhanced by standard usage and effective use of information technology.
