Shangri-la Bank New Interest Rates

Deposit Products and Call Accounts
Loan Operating and Current Accounts with a minimum balance requirement of NPR 0 to 5,000 carry no interest yield.
For Call Deposits, Co-Ops Call Account requires a minimum balance of NPR 1,000 and yields up to 1.37% per annum on a quarterly posting frequency. BFI Call Account requires NPR 5,000 and offers up to 1.37% per annum quarterly. Corporate Call Account and Call Account Others each require a minimum balance of NPR 100 and offer up to 1.37% per annum quarterly. Special Call Account requires NPR 5,000 and provides up to 1.37% per annum on a quarterly posting frequency.
Saving Deposit Accounts
Staff Saving Account and Normal Saving Account have no minimum balance requirement, offering an interest rate of 2.75% per annum posted quarterly. Bal Bhabishya Bachat Khata, Pewa Bachat Khata, and Shareholder Saving Account require a minimum balance of NPR 100 and yield 2.75% per annum quarterly. Nari Bachat Khata requires NPR 100 and yields 2.75% per annum posted monthly.
Jestha Nagarik Bachat Khata offers 2.75% per annum posted monthly with a minimum balance of NPR 500. Gurkha Saving Account and Salary Saving Account require NPR 500 and offer 2.75% per annum quarterly. Shangri-la Super Premium Bachat, Shangri-la Sambriddhi Bachat Khata, Mero Shangri-la Bachat Khata, Shangri-la Uchhatam Bachat Khata, Micro Finance Saving Account, and Buddha Bhumi Bachat Khata all require a minimum balance of NPR 5,000 and offer 2.75% per annum. Interest is posted monthly for Shangri-la Sambriddhi Bachat Khata and quarterly for the rest.
Bidharthi Bachat Khata, Group Saving-MF Account, Personal Saving-MF Account, Karmachari Sulav Bachat Khata, Samajik Surakchya Bachat Khata, Shangri-La Pay roll Account, and Swornim Nari Bachat Khata have no minimum balance requirement and offer 2.75% per annum. Interest is posted monthly for Shangri-La Pay roll Account and quarterly for the others. Swornim Nari Bachat Khata requires NPR 1,000 and pays 2.75% quarterly.
Recurring Account requires a minimum balance of NPR 100 and offers 2.75% per annum posted quarterly. Shangrila Naulo Bachat Account requires NPR 5,000 and yields 2.75% per annum posted monthly. Shangri-la Green Saving Account requires NPR 500, while Surakshit Bal Bachat Khata requires NPR 1,000, both paying 2.75% per annum quarterly. Sunaulo Remittance Account requires a minimum balance of NPR 100 and offers a higher rate of 3.75% per annum posted quarterly.
Fixed Deposit Products
For Individual Fixed Deposits, a period of 3 Months to 1 Year yields 2.75% per annum. Tenures Above 1 Year to 3 Years offer 3.00% per annum. Tenures Above 3 Years to 5 Years yield 3.50% per annum. Tenures Above 5 Years provide 4.28% per annum, with interest posted monthly, quarterly, or at maturity.
For Remittance Fixed Deposits, an additional 1% interest rate is provided on top of the above individual fixed deposit interest rates as per the corresponding time period.
For Institutional Fixed Deposits, tenures of 6 Months and Above offer 2.75% per annum with interest posted quarterly or at maturity.
Individual Loans and Advances
Individual Loan rates are calculated based on the bank Base Rate plus a Premium Rate. Personal OD, Easy Term, Home Loan, Hire Purchase Loan, Share/Security Loan, Guarantee Loan, Gold and Silver Loan, Foreign Employment, Education Loan, Auto Loan – Private, and Personal Demand Loan all carry a premium rate of Up to 3.99%.
Loan Against FDR carries a rate calculated as Coupon Rate + 3%.
Corporate Loans and Project Financing
- Corporate Loan rates are also structured as Base Rate plus a Premium Rate. Business OD, Term Loan, Vehicle Loan, SME Loan – OD, SME Loan – Term, Demand Loan, Agriculture Loan – OD, and Agriculture Loan – Term carry a premium rate of Up to 3.99%.
- Industry Loan – OD, Industry Loan – Term, Energy Loan – OD, Energy Loan – Term, Tourism Loan – OD, Tourism Loan – Term, Real Estate Loan – OD, Real Estate Loan – Term, and Bridge Gap Loan all carry a premium rate of Up to 3.99%.
Deprived Sector Loans and Fixed Rate Schemes
- For Deprived Sector Loans, Deprived – General, Seasonal Loan, Micro Enterprise, Low – Cost Housing, Deprived Loan – Other, and Micro Hydro carry a premium rate of Up to 4.99%.
- Wholesale Lending carries a premium rate of Up to 2%. Consortium Loan interest rates are determined As per Agreement.
- For Fixed Rate Personal Term Loans up to 7 years, the fixed interest rate is set at 10.99%.
Financial Indicators and Key Terms
- As of Shrawan End 2083, the bank Base Rate stands at 5.51%. The interest rate on loans and advances is calculated as the Average Base Rate plus the Premium Rate.
In the case of deprived sector loans provided to Senior Citizens, Dalit, Mukta Kamaiya, Baadi, Haliya, War Victim, Single Women, and differently abled people, an interest rate below 1% than the published rate shall be applicable.
