Innovations ICT Award

The best 12 startups, products and Innovations have been announced at the ICY Awards. Under the award, the best 12 in three categories namely Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award and Rising Star ICT Award have been announced.

45 startups in the startup category, 36 products in the product category and 52 students’ innovative ideas in the rising star category of the ICT Award applied for the most prestigious award in the field of Information and Communication technology.

Razan Lamsal, coordinator of the organizing committee of ICT Awards, informed that the jury committee of 13 members and the advisory committee of 15 members of the award selected the names of the best 12 after 2 stages of selection from the applications received.

Among the top 12 startups are Area Technology, BIC Technology, Bihe Nepal, Cura Health, Danson Solutions, Digital Learning Nepal, Fresh KTM Agro, Kaicho Group, Monal Tech, Pick and Drop, Red Tail Fox and Ringage Tech.

The top 12 products include BDMS Pro, Bihe Nepal, Decision Mentor, Dino CRM, Finpus, Galli Maps, Loan Automation System (Credit X Micro), Ringage Voice Broadcasting, School Works Pro, Smart Office, Tig and Vairav ​​Trident.

Among the top 12 student-made innovations selected are Ask Mattrab, Commercialization of Autonomous Eagle Eye on Manned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Karobar App, MeasureMe.AI, Mero Swasthya, Nayan, Neptu, Python Voice Assistant, Sarang, SOL Bin, Tiscan and Spasta Nepali.

Startups, products, and rising star innovations that have made it to the top 12 will participate in a presentation and speed dating session on November 5. Startup and Idea Fest program will also be organized on the same occasion. The best 5 will be selected from the said competition.

Similarly, the selection process of awards in other 9 categories is ongoing. The selection process of the first phase of Pioneer ICT Award, Entrepreneur ICT Award, Woman Icon ICT Award, Nepali Diaspora ICT Award is underway. Similarly, the selection process is being conducted in the categories of Digital Education ICT Award Public Sector and Private Sector, Digital Governance and Digital Services ICT Award. The online nomination of the South Asia Startup ICT Award, which started this year, is ongoing as well.

Online nominations were opened in various 12 different categories from 1st of Shrawan. With the cooperation of national and international organizations, the grand finale of the ICT Award 2022 is being organized on 8th of Poush, 2079 at The Soaltee Kathmandu. As a pre-event campaign before the grand finale, a ‘Startup and Idea Fest’ will be organized as an exhibition and mentoring session of more than 100 startups from all over the country in the third week of Kartik.

This prestigious award of Nepal has the support of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Nepal Telecommunications Authority, NAST, FNCCI and others.
