Switzerland Global Enterprise, in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, is set to embark on a fact-finding mission aimed at unraveling the potential within Nepal’s fintech sector.

With Switzerland’s well-established banking infrastructure and conducive innovation environment, this initiative seeks to introduce Swiss and Liechtenstein companies to the burgeoning Nepali fintech market.

Nepal’s Nascent Fintech Landscape Offers Promise

Nepal’s fintech sector is in its early stages, with substantial untapped potential. As access to finance expands and competition within the financial industry deepens, Nepali companies are actively seeking innovative avenues for product development and market expansion.

The mission aspires to create strategic business alliances between Swiss and Nepali fintech enterprises, bolster Swiss private sector engagement in Nepal, and catalyze fresh domestic and international investment in the country’s fintech sphere.

Key Highlights of the Mission

The delegation will engage with Nepali stakeholders, including high-level government officials and industry leaders, to explore various opportunities across the fintech ecosystem.

This includes discussions on banktech, insuretech, remittance-tech, cybersecurity, lending, and more.

Participants will gain insights into the challenges and benefits of entering a frontier market while learning about Nepal’s unique advantages for business, such as its strategic location, skilled workforce, and policies. Interactive sessions and networking events will provide an understanding of Nepal’s cultural and business practices.
