Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce proudly hosted the TedXSoftwarica Kathmandu event on January 12, 2024, Friday at Nepal Tourism Board Hall. The event themed “Embracing the Past, Envisioning the Future” brought together a diverse group of visionaries and thought leaders, engaging a massive audience to be inspired.

In this event, distinguished speakers from various fields graced the stage, sharing their insights and experiences with the audience. Ms. Pranayna KC, Co-Founder of Hivelaya, discussed women’s leadership, highlighting the importance of equality and women’s role in financial conservation.

Another speaker was Mr. Amigo Khadka, Co-Founder of Nepal Tea Collective, who shared his inspiring journey of returning to Nepal with a dream to make a difference highlighting challenges faced by Nepali youth and emphasizing the need to redefine work culture.

Mr. Anil Keshary Shah, Former CEO of Nabil Bank, spoke about happiness and being the best version of oneself emphasizing the importance of health, wealth, power, and the willingness to be greater and good, leaving the audience with a profound reflection on life’s true objectives.

Mr. Rishi Dhamala, Founder, Reporter club, prime television, He spoke about encouraging students to engage in a workshop and shared his future plans to enhance IT education and job opportunities.

Ms. Rewati Gurung, Founder of Kokroma and Social Activist, shared a heartwarming story at the event about supporting earthquake victims and empowering women through determination.

CEO of Khalti Digital Wallet, Mr. Binay Khadka delivered a powerful message to audiences about embracing one’s strength and encouraged them to accept the past, live in the present, and prepare for the future.

Bal Krishna Joshi, Co-Founder of Thamel.com, discussed globalization, highlighting the idea of “working locally and earning globally”, emphasizing the significant economic impact of Nepal’s tech industry, with over half a billion dollars earned in 2022 by tech companies and freelancers.
