Please join the exclusive webinar on “Machine Learning in Medicine” by the renowned scientist Nicholas Cummins, Nicholas is a lecturer in AI for speech analysis for health at the Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics at King’s College London.
He’s fascinated by the application of machine learning techniques to improve our understanding of health conditions, in particular mental health disorders.
In this seminar, Nicholas Cummings introduces the students to broader ideas of what Artificial Intelligence is and how machine learning is one way of achieving this.
He talks about how machine learning differs from other forms of computing, gives examples of success and failures of machine learning in medicine, and talks about future work that needs to be done to limit the failures.
He also includes a little about the skills needed to apply machine learning and more advanced skills needed to develop new machine learning approaches.
