TeliaSonera is getting ready for selling Ncell

Ncell has been working in Nepal since 2004 as the first mobile operator company. It has provided many communicating and internet facilities to people all around the country. According to their commitment, they have given the best network quality everywhere throughout the country with fast internet service.

Ncell was not founded by the people of Nepal themselves. It became,e a part of TeliaSonera, leading European telecommunication Company since October 2008. TeliaSonera is an international group with a global strategy, but wherever it operates it acts as a local company. TeliaSonera, not only in Nepal but also in various parts of the world it has been providing network access and telecommunication services that help people and companies communicate in a comfortable, efficient and environmentally friendly way. TeliaSonera operates in over 20 markets with more than 460 million inhabitants, including the Nordic and Baltic countries, the emerging markets of Eurasia and Spain.

With the help of TeliaSonera, Ncell has been able in expanding coverage, enhancing quality and bringing new, efficient and easy-to-use services to the Nepalese and also the foreign people living out here.

But now TeliaSonera has decided to take out their hands from the investment of telecommunication service provider Ncell. With the motive of giving more concentration on Europe and Sweden, Company has agreed not to work for other countries including Nepal. TeliaSonera’s board meeting concluded that they are taking back their investments from Euro Asia countries.

With board’s this decision, TeliaSonera will be out from Nepal including other countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Tajikistan. TeliaSonera which has 80% share on Ncell does the business of 50 billion rupees yearly. Since three years Ncell has been the highest Tax payer company in Nepal. “The investment that has been done in Europe and Asia’s countries are filled with profits and have a long way but at this time, entering in the market in the right way is most important.” It’s said in the advertisement published by TeliaSonera.

TeliaSonera’s president and CEO John Deland has thanked everyone who has helped them within the two years of the interval in this sector. “I want to thank everyone who worked very hard for two years in the Euro Asian sector, with institutional governance and permanent attitude, we have done significant work,” he said. “Today we have good and systematic Company. He believes that we can build another this type of company.” He said that this could be difficult and take more time.

The company has decided to give priority to the new sector’s connectivity and coverage. The company told that in Sweden and Europe they have to work with strong will power. The company has started the process of coming out from other countries including Nepal. They have said that for this process how much time is going to take. The company said that New TeliaSonera’s work is also on progress. Till December 2014, Ncell Company received 56% of the Nepali Market, and Ncell sent this message to TeliaSonera. From TeliaSonera’s main profit, 23% of profit is made by these seven countries only.
