The human nature to help someone when they are struggling to move forward is truly magnificent. We, keeping our own problems aside, rush to help those in need with the hope of easing their trouble.
This is the very reason we are called a civilization rather than a herd.
This primal desire to help others was the very reason Vee-Studio was conceived.
When music-loving students realized the struggle youths have to face in the music industry, they set their goal to build an easier music career path for future generations.
Vee-Studio was ready to take diverse methods to fulfill its aim and build music as a mainstream career in Nepal. And the Cover-Songsters finale event was a milestone for them where they were able to put the limelight on some gifted singers.
Vee-Studio is the organizer of the largest cover singing digital competition titled “Cover Songsters,” where participants sent their cover song videos. Out of 80+ form responses, they received 45 videos that they featured on different social media platforms.
To select the top ten among those videos, a semi-finale event was organized. The judging was based on 60% markings from social media engagement and 40% markings from real judges. This event was conducted on 12th June.
With the successful completion of the Semi-Finale, the zealous members of Vee-Studio set out to organize their grand finale on 19th June.
This finale was about to be the first Nxtgen member event. With the hope to keep elements of excitement in the event, they approached various national and international singers and speakers to give performances and speeches and entertain the audiences.
The whole team was working relentlessly to make the finale as magnificent as possible. Predict & Win pre-event was also organized between the interval of semi finale and finale to excite the anticipation of the audiences. And to boost the morale of our non-finalists, Vee-studio also organized the people choice award.
The guest singers for the finale were Sanjay Mahat and Miss Roselyn Shrestha. The guest speakers were Roshan Koirala and Miss Julia Schetelig from Germany.
And the judging for the top three among the ten finalists was done by three judges, namely Zanak Tamrakar, Roshan Sharma, and Miss Raika Sethi from India. Before the final day, Vee-Studio had received support from 10+ partners with Gyapu as their main sponsor.
After 1000+ audience registration, the event was planned to take place on Zoom’s online conferencing platform. It was scheduled between 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
During the event, the cover song videos of the finalists were presented among the judges and audiences. The Judges provided all the finalists with praise and constructive feedback.
During the same event, the judges, singer, and speakers gave their mind-blowing performances and presentation.
The musical performances from guests and judges entertained all of us, and the speakers shared their wisdom with us about mental health and mental resilience. During the event, the singers among the Vee-Studio team members also gave their performances.
After the video performance of finalists were completed and the scores were out, our chief guest Miss Roselyn Shrestha announced the top three winners and the winner of the people’s choice award:
Winner – Sanish Shrestha,
1st Runner up – Ashish Tamang,
Second Runner up – Ankit Darnal
And People’s Choice Award Winner – Purnima Mahara.
Even after the winner’s announcement, the event still had more surprises. The winner of Predict & Win pre-event and a lucky draw winner from the audience were announced at the end of the event. Then the event officially ended with the closing performances from Vee-Studio team members and some of the finalists.
In a nutshell, the grand finale was a destination of a path paved by passion, planning, and labor of Vee-Studio team members and the participants.
The checkpoints on that path were pre-events and semi-finale, which always kept the anticipation high for all of us. May this first step be a giant leap for Vee-Studio in the coming days because We wish to witness more such events from vee-studio in the future.
