What is Upaya: City Cargo

Upaya: City Cargo is an online marketplace for intra-city logistics. It connects individuals and businesses with their pickup driver-partners. The app integrates technology to ensure quick and hassle-free delivery. Upaya: CityCargo has about 3500 clients and 500+ driver-partners. Upaya: City Cargo provides vehicles like TATA Pickups, Bolero, etc. for the trip-wise and daily-hire basis to its customers.

Features of the App

City Cargo is one of the pioneers of digital logistic service. Their main focus is to make online delivery easier in Nepal.

Some main features of the app are “Automatic connection through the Platform” and “Trip Tracking and Automated VAT Bills”.

The app allows customers to hire vehicles on a trip-wise and daily-hire basis. Furthermore, the drivers will be automatically notified regarding trips/bookings. They will be able to easily view their income details.

The features in the Client App make the booking process easy for customers. Through the app, both drivers and partners can easily work together.

Launch of the VERSION 3.0 App

On 7th August 2020, Upaya: City Cargo launched its new app in a special event.  All founders, board members, investors, and the company’s employees present. Everyone was enthused about the launch of the promising app.

The launch adhered to all precaution measures properly.

The Chairman, Mr. Suman Rayamajhi illuminated the vision and core values of the company. He thanked the employees for their endeavors and encouragement in building the app amidst an ongoing pandemic.

Future Plans

City Cargo’s COO, Mr. Amigo Khadka highlighted the milestones they achieved in the past fiscal year. He also presented a brief ‘road-map’ on how it will work in the days to come. He shared the company’s plans to expand services outside Kathmandu, to 6 hubs (10 major cities) within a year.
