Verizon To Unveil New Motorola DROID Phones On October 27

Verizon has just announced that it will release it’s the latest crop of Motorola DROID smartphones on October 27. The company will host an event in New York City at 10:30 a.m. EST on that date.

The invite suggests that there will be multiple phones, which we’re also expecting, but doesn’t provide any additional details. But with the success of last year’s impressively built Droid Turbo, the Turbo 2 is said to pack in a punch and offer several enticing new features.

The Droid Turbo, which was launched in India with “Moto Turbo” moniker in March, had among the best hardware specifications in a phone at the time. The Droid Turbo 2 is said to carry forward the tradition.

  • Turbo 2 have 5.43-inch QHD display (up from 5.2-inch QHD screen in the original Turbo).
  • It also has Snapdragon 810 SoC (MSM8994).
  • It has 3GB RAM.
  • It comes with two different types of internal storage, i.e., 32GB and 64GB.
  • It has got a 21-megapixel rear camera and 2 to 5-megapixel front camera as per the report.
  • It has 3760mAh battery (down from 3900mAh in the predecessor).
  • Turbo 2 is said to have an “unbreakable” display and metal edges that run along the sides.
  • It also supports wireless charging.
  • It runs on Android 5.1.1 version Lollipop Operating System.

Features of Motorola Droid Maxx2

The upcoming Motorola DROID MAXX 2 was recently reported to be the re-branded version of the recently launched Moto X Play. Now, a new image of the DROID device has surfaced, revealing key details about the plot.

  • It has a massive 5.5-inch display, packed with 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution.
  • It has a battery of 3630 mAh unit.
  • This smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, in combination with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz.
  • It has 2GB RAM.
  • It has better graphics with Adreno 405 GPU.
  • It has come up with 16GB built-in storage space.
  • It runs on Android 5.1.1 version Lollipop Operating System.
  • It also has a good dose of Verizon’s usual bloatware.
  • It has a 21-megapixel rear camera.
