SAARC Journalist Forum Pakistan Chapter AGM elects a new Committee. SAARC Journalist Forum SJF Pakistan Chapter has been formed under the leadership of senior journalists of Pakistan Zaheer Ghafoor While Hussnain Chaudhary is the General Secretary.
The Pakistan SAARC Journalist Forum (SJF) was finalized on Monday.
The Forum also constituted a 25 members committee comprising journalists from Pakistan. Sheraz Hasnat is the Vice President of the Punjab chapter while Aneela Shaheen is the Vice President of the KPK Chapter. Fazil Jameeli is the Vice President of the Sindh Chapter and Rizwan Saeed is Vice President from Balochistan.
Journalists from member states including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka can take membership in the Forum.
SAARC Journalist Forum is recognized as a regional journalist body of South Asian journalists in member states of SAARC.
The rationale behind the creation of the SAARC Journalist Forum of the SAARC countries was to promote journalism, develop, promote, network, policy reforms, and achieve common objectives in the areas of SAARC countries.
