According to the published report, the company achieved encouraging progress in core business expansion and premium collection, despite experiencing a sharp decline in overall net profit.
Growth in Insurance Premiums and Life Insurance Fund
By the end of Ashadh of the last fiscal year, Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited generated net insurance premiums of 434.02 million rupees. This reflects a 27.93 percent increase compared to the 339.25 million rupees in insurance premiums collected during the previous fiscal year.
The life insurance fund of the company also recorded substantial expansion. The fund grew by 124.36 percent, rising from 88.60 million rupees in the previous fiscal year to 198.78 million rupees during the review period.
Net Profit and Earnings Per Share Decline
Despite positive top-line growth across key business indicators, net profit fell by approximately 90 percent.
Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited had earned a net profit of 24.65 million rupees in the previous fiscal year. In the last fiscal year, net profit dropped to 2.53 million rupees.
Along with the decline in bottom-line profit, earnings per share EPS dropped sharply from 2.41 rupees down to 0.34 rupees.
Expenses and Capital Structure
Total expenses incurred by the company reached 498.04 million rupees during the review period, representing an increase of 28.12 percent compared to the prior fiscal year.
The company currently maintains a paid up capital of 750 million rupees. Its net worth per share was reported at 105.09 rupees at the close of the fourth quarter.
