17th August 2026, Kathmandu
Kumari Bank has integrated the IRD Incentive Program into its mobile banking app to support digital payments and tax compliance. Make QR payments above Rs. 100 to enter daily lucky draws for Rs. 1 Lakh and bi-weekly bumper prizes of Rs. 10 Lakh.
Kumari Bank Integrates IRD Incentive Program
In a move to support the taxpayer incentive program initiated by the Government of Nepal and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Kumari Bank Limited has officially rolled out the IRD Incentive Program feature on its mobile banking app.
Introduced in the national budget for the fiscal year 2083/84, this initiative aims to encourage consumers to request PAN and VAT bills, promote digital payments, increase tax compliance, and boost overall financial transparency in the Nepalese market.
How the Reward Program Works
Through this new integration, Kumari Bank customers can automatically participate in the government’s reward scheme by meeting simple criteria:
-
Make a purchase of goods or services for personal use worth more than Rs. 100 within Nepal.
-
Pay for the transaction using a Merchant QR code via the Kumari Bank mobile app.
-
Ensure to collect the PAN or VAT bill and keep it safe for verification.
Attractive Cash Prizes for Digital Users
As per the provisions set by the Inland Revenue Department, eligible digital transactions will be entered into automated lucky draws featuring substantial cash rewards:
Daily Prize: One lucky customer will win a daily cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh (after tax deductions).
Bumper Prize: Every 15 days, one highly fortunate customer will be awarded a bumper prize of Rs. 10 Lakh.
Track Your Progress on the Kumari Smart App
To ensure a seamless user experience, the bank has integrated an exclusive IRD Incentive Program menu within the Kumari Smart mobile banking app. Through this dedicated section, customers can easily view:
-
The total number of eligible transactions they have made.
-
Detailed transaction histories.
-
Their real-time reward status and lucky draw results.
Bank’s Vision: Kumari Bank urges its customers to actively use Merchant QR payments, request PAN/VAT bills, and regularly check their eligibility on the app. The bank believes this campaign will significantly expand digital transactions, helping build a cashless economy while strengthening financial transparency.
