Countering Misinformation and Airfare Pricing Structure
The airline addressed viral social media posts featuring manipulated screenshots and clarified its official maximum fare caps across key domestic routes.
- Fake Media Warning: Buddha Air cautioned the public against fake screenshots generated via image editing software or AI, advising passengers to verify ticket prices solely through official channels.
- Route Fare Capping: The airline clarified that one-way flights from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi are being offered at a capped rate of NPR 10,800, leading to high demand and pre-sold flights for upcoming dates.
- Regulatory Action on Overcharging: The company warned that any individual or travel agency caught selling tickets above official rates will face legal action under prevailing laws.
- Festive Relief Policy: Minimum airfares will remain enforced throughout the Dashain and Tihar festive period and until flood and landslide-damaged road networks in regions like Rasuwa are restored.
- Inbound Promotional Offers: To balance lower inbound passenger traffic toward Kathmandu, promotional discount codes are being made available through the official website and mobile application.
