The Apple watch 42 mm was announced on September 2014 and released on April of 2015. The smartwatch has got a 1.56″ AMOLED capacities touchscreen with 390 x 312 pixels approximately 303 PPI display technology and has reached the screen to body ratio of 56.8 %.
The dimension of this model is 42 x 35.9 x 10.5 mm (1.65 x 1.41 x 0.41 in) and weighs about 50 grams. This watch is built with stainless steel and is water resistant up to 1, eater and 30 minutes time limit and also is IPX7 certified. This gear supports multi-touch, and the screen comes with a Sapphire crystal glass protection along with force touch display.
The OS used is watch OS 1.0 which is up gradable to v2.1 and is compatible with Apple iPhone 5 and above models. This gear supports Bluetooth but does not endorse any cellular network technology. The chip set used is Apple S1 whereas the processing speed of the CPU is 520 MHz and the GPU used is Power VR SGX543. It has got 8 GB storage and comes up with a 512 MB RAM. The sensors available in this device are accelerator meter, gyro, and HRM sensors but not a GPS sensor.
The Bluetooth technology used is Bluetooth v4.0 LE, and it comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and NFC connectivity systems. The battery used in the BT model is nonremovable Li-ion 250 mAh and has the battery life up to 22 hours and gives up to 3h and 40 min talk time. One can check whether, play music, measure his heartbeat and many more functions.
It also helps to balance the daily activity level, track water vs. caffeine intake and heartbeat which helps to keep the user fit. It is available in Stainless Steel/Red, White, Brown/Black/Blue Buckle, Blue/Stone Leather Loop, Milanese Loop, Link Bracelet, Space Black Stainless Steel/Black, Black Link Bracelet, Space Black Milanese Loop colors.
