FINTECH in Nepal

4th June 2021, Kathmandu

Fintech is the term that describes the company which provides financial services. These services can be from mobile payment apps to cryptocurrency.  It enables these services through software or any other devices. It is used to ease the finances of consumers. It aims to automate financial services.

In general, fintech encourages the use of the internet, mobile devices, software technology, or cloud services to perform or connect with financial services. However, the term is also applied to business-to-business (B2B) technologies as well. This tech helps better utilization of resources by businesses, customers, and companies.

Fintech appeared in the 21st century. Initially, it was employed as the back-end system. Then, fintech was used in established financial institutions. Now, it’s more customer-oriented. It includes education, retail banking, fundraising and nonprofit, and investment management, to name a few.

Some of the well-known examples can be mobile banking apps, Khalti, eSewa, fone-pay, and the list goes on. To know more about fintech, eSatya has organized a meetup. This meetup will focus on the development going on in the financial and industrial sectors of Nepal.
